Nirvana CBD Oil FAQs

CBD, which is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound found in plants belonging to the cannabis sativa family.

Cannabidiol belongs to a group of chemical compounds classified as cannabinoids, and there are over 100 cannabinoids that have been discovered within cannabis. Another one of these cannabinoids is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), the component of cannabis that is primarily responsible for the plant’s intoxicating, mind-altering properties. Unlike Δ9-THC, CBD is completely non-intoxicating and will not induce the mind-altering effects associated with being “high.”

As a highly diverse compound, CBD is used in a variety of different types of products–such as CBD oil tinctures–for its wide range of natural and therapeutic properties.

Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) is one of the major active compounds found in cannabis, and it is the component of cannabis that is primarily responsible for the plant’s intoxicating properties. In other words, Δ9-THC is the component of cannabis that induces the mind-altering effects referred to as “getting high.”

Unlike Δ9-THC, CBD is completely non-intoxicating, which means that it will not get you high.

At Nirvana CBD, all of our products are considered “broad spectrum,” which means that they contain all cannabinoids and terpenes found naturally in the cannabis plant, excluding Δ9-THC. As such, our CBD oil tinctures, and all other Nirvana CBD products, won’t get you high.

Nirvana CBD products are made exclusively from only the finest hemp plants.

Hemp and marijuana are both classifications used to describe different varieties of cannabis.

According to the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, the term “Hemp” is used to classify varieties of cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC content by dry weight. In comparison, the term “marijuana” is used to classify varieties of cannabis that contain more than 0.3% THC content by dry weight.

With less than 0.3% THC content, the amount of THC in hemp is so low that it would be impossible for it to induce intoxicating properties (or “get you high”) when consumed. Marijuana, on the other hand, can contain up to 30% THC content, and can most definitely get you high.

This key difference between hemp and marijuana is the primary reason why one of the plant varieties is completely legal under federal law (hemp) while the other (marijuana) is not.

In order to meet the highest quality standards and provide our customers with the transparency that they deserve, all Nirvana CBD products are rigorously tested for potency, purity, and quality by an ISO-certified 3rd party lab.

The most recent Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each of our products can be accessed by scanning the QR code found on each product or by visiting the “Lab Reports” page of our website.

Like almost all consumer products, CBD oil doesn’t last forever. In other words, yes CBD Oil does expire.

In general, most CBD products can last for a minimum of 12-months and some can even last up to 24-months. There are, however, certain factors that can decrease the shelf life of a CBD oil product, such as exposure to sunlight, temperature level, and ingredients in the product.

With that being said, it’s very important to store your CBD oil in a cool environment that is not in direct sunlight.

Due to their ease of use, CBD Oil Tinctures are one of the most popular ways to enjoy CBD.

To use our CBD oil tinctures, follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill the dropper with your desired dosage
  2. Dispense the oil into your mouth, beneath the tongue
  3. Hold the oil beneath the tongue for 60 to 90 seconds (this allows the oil to absorb into the veins beneath the tongue)
  4. Swallow the oil

Due to the diverse factors that can impact how CBD interacts with the body–such as weight, medical history, metabolism, discomfort level, and consumption method–there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer to this question.

In general, it is recommended to start with a lower dose and adjust up or down as needed until you achieve the desired effects.

While some experts suggest a starting dose of between 20 to 40mg and then adjusting by 5mg weekly, it is highly advised to consult with your doctor to properly determine the best CBD dosage for your needs and situation.

No. Nirvana CBD oil, as well as all Nirvana CBD products, contain less than 0.3% THC–the maximum amount of THC allowed by law, and a negligible trace amount that would not show up on a THC drug test.

It is important to note that, while it is rare, some drug screenings are designed to detect other cannabinoids besides THC. With that being said, it is highly advised to consult with whoever is administering the drug screening to learn what types of substances you are being tested for before trying any CBD product.

Under the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 (also known as the 2018 Farm Bill), hemp and its derived products were federally legalized (For legal purposes, hemp is defined as plants that contain less than 0.3% THC). As a derivative of hemp, our broad spectrum CBD oil contains less than 0.3% THC content and is federally legal in the United States.

The legal age to purchase CBD has not been officially established yet. Many online stores do not enforce a legal age to purchase CBD products; however, some online and in-store retailers do have internal policies that prohibit the sale of CBD products to those under the age of 18.

With that being said, we can infer that, in general, the legal age to purchase CBD is 18; however, you are strongly advised to research the CBD laws and regulations in your area in order to accurately determine the legal age to buy CBD in your area.
